Choosing a Micron

Lighter gauges (12-17 micron) are cost-effective for lighter or lower-security loads. Mid gauges (18-23 micron) suit most standard palletised loads. Heavier gauges (24-30 micron) give extra puncture resistance and load stability for heavier, sharper, or higher-value loads. Not every width/length is available in every micron – see the options below.

Extended or Standard Core – Which Do You Need?

  • Extended Core – the core projects beyond the film for a comfortable grip; apply straight from the roll by hand, no dispenser needed.
  • Standard Core (also called flush core) – the core sits flush with the film edge, for use with a hand dispenser tool.
